Upcoming Classes
Classes take place at A Dog’s Life’s Learning & Activity Center - 455 Lake Michigan Dr NW Suite 15, Grand Rapids, MI 49534.
Each class meets for 4 weeks and costs $129 unless otherwise specified. Registration is only guaranteed upon payment. Your registration attests that your dog will be up to date on all medical requirements by the start of class. You can view all of our class policies here.
We require the following vaccines: Distemper/Parvo (2nd round for puppies), Bordetella, Rabies (for dogs over 4 months), 1st round of Canine Influenza and a Negative Fecal Exam. Fecal exams can take a few days to process, so please plan accordingly.

Puppy Part 1
For puppies up to 5 months old, this course will focus on building a solid learning foundation by teaching core skills such as Leave-It, Stay, Recall, and Place. We will also practice important social skills by allowing the puppies to interact and play while supervised.

Puppy Part 2

Tuesday 6/10 at 5:00pm with Amy
A continuation of Puppy 1 where we will strengthen and advance the behaviors you’ve been taught.
Puppy Social Enrichment
A well-socialized dog is comfortable and confident in a variety of situations. We provide an environment rich in novel experiences and interactions for puppies up to 4 months old to explore in these 30 minute sessions. Cost is $20 per session for current class members; $30 for non-class members.
Adolescent & Adult Part 1
For dogs over 5 months old, this course will focus on building a solid learning foundation by teaching core skills such as Leave-It, Stay, Recall, and Place. We will also work on overall focus and calm behavior amidst distractions.
Adolescent & Adult Part 2
Wednesday 5/14 at 8:00pm with Nikki
Tuesday 6/10 at 6:00pm with Amy
A continuation of Adolescent & Adult 1 where we will expand and begin applying the behaviors you’ve been taught.
Intermediate Skills
Practice applying the skills taught in our basic classes. We will play games that simulate real-life situations. and focus on working around distractions. Dogs must have class experience to register.
Walk This Way
Tuesday 5/20 at 5:30pm with Kristie & Amy
Strengthen leash skills for both handler and pup with innovative and proven methods. We’ll also build handler focus by learning games and activities that reinforce being near you. Basic class experience is recommended.
Fit & Fun
Saturday 5/10 at 11:00am with Amy
This 30 minute class will go over conditioning techniques and exercises to keep your dog fit and healthy, and have a great time doing it! Cost is $79 for 4 weeks.
Boredom Busters Workshop
FULL: Tuesday 5/13 at 6:00pm with Kristie
Saturday 5/24 at 12:00pm with Amy
In this 50 minute workshop you'll learn games to play with your busy dog that can help wear them out both mentally and physically, while also reinforcing good behavior. Cost is $39.
Beginner Rally
Tuesday 5/20 at 6:30pm with Amy
As an introduction to the wonderful world of rally, we will focus on teamwork, communication and fun, rather than precision. The exercises involved will help build your skills as a handler and increase your dog's repertoire of behaviors.
