Therapy Dog Training Classes
Classes take place at A Dog’s Life’s Learning & Enrichment Center - 455 Lake Michigan Dr NW Suite 15, Grand Rapids, MI 49534.
We require the following vaccines: Distemper/Parvo (2nd round for puppies), Bordetella, Rabies (for dogs over 4 months), and a Negative Fecal Exam. Fecal exams can take a few days to process, so please plan accordingly.

**Therapy dogs provide comfort to many people in clinical or educational settings but are considered pets with no special legal access. Service dogs are trained to perform specific tasks for individuals with disabilities and have legal public access rights under the ADA. Our program is specifically designed for therapy dog training.
Pre-Therapy Training Class
In this 6 week course, you and your dog will learn the skills, steps and information needed to become a certified therapy dog team. Subjects include refining leash walking skills, solidifying stays, and working around distractions. Cost is $199
Previous training is recommended. Dogs entering class must be over a year old.
Upcoming Dates & Times
Therapy Certification Class
This 6 week course will meet in a new location each week to practice your skills in real-life scenarios and with real-life distractions. The final week will include the evaluation required to become a certified therapy dog team. Cost is $199
Dogs entering class must have taken a Pre-Therapy Training Class, passed a Canine Good Citizen test, or received instructor approval.
